Oh, the crown for the most expensive Pokémon card ever sold goes to the Pikachu Illustrator card. This card is basically the holy grail of Pokémon collecting. It was given out to winners of a comic contest in Japan back in 1998 and there's only like 39 of these babies known to exist. So, you can imagine, it's super rare. One of these sold for a whopping $5.275 million in 2021!
Pikachu Illustrator, hands down. But let's be real, any of us owning that is as likely as me beating a gym leader with a Magikarp.
