Who is Tom Nook in Animal Crossing?
Oh, Tom Nook - the infamous raccoon (well, tanuki in Japan) who basically runs your Animal Crossing life. He's the guy who sells you your house when you first move in and then generously, or not so generously, offers loans for any house upgrades. He owns the local store, which upgrades as you spend more money. Some say he's a ruthless capitalist, but hey, he gives interest-free loans and waits patiently for repayment. A true patron of the arts and your home sweet home!

Not a fan. He's basically the reason you're forever in debt in Animal Crossing. But gotta admit, the game wouldn't be the same without his 'generosity.'
