Toei Animation took over the Dragon Ball anime after Akira Toriyama's manga became a huge success. They've been rocking it ever since!
In continuing the story, Toyotarou became a key figure, especially for the Dragon Ball Super manga, under Toriyama's supervision. Toriyama still oversees the major plot points and character designs.
