Trying to identify a Pokemon card? The best way is to look at the bottom corner for the card's unique ID. Every Pokemon card has one! You can also check out the card's artwork, name, and type. If you're still stuck, there are apps and websites where you can input these details and find out exactly which card you have in your hand.

Pro tip: if it looks shiny and feels like you've hit the jackpot, it might be rare. But that doesn't help you ID it. Get the name or the ID number and search it up. Simples.

Honestly, just ask online. Reddit鈥檚 r/pokemonTCG or forums are goldmines for this stuff. Snap a pic, post it, and wait for the magic to happen. Someone will know.

If you're squinting at a card thinking, 'Who's that Pokemon?', just flip it! The name's right at the top. Can't miss it unless it's a super rare card that decided to play hide and seek with its name.

Just Google the description, lol. Like, 'red dragon Pokemon card' works more often than not.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
