You're probably experiencing a security measure. Change your password just to be safe and check if anyone else has logged into your account.
Maybe Instagram's just being quirky. Try logging back in a few minutes later.
Happened to me when I used 3rd party apps! If you're using any, disconnect them and see if that helps.
