It's probably due to the pages or groups you liked in the past. Review your likes and memberships and clean house!
Sometimes, it's just Facebook's algorithm trying to show you what's 'trending' or 'suggested' content. You can adjust in your settings to see less of that.
I had the same issue, and I fixed it by blocking sources of those posts. My feed is a peaceful place now!
