Lag in Fortnite can be caused by a bunch of things - mostly bad internet connection or a slow computer. Check your internet speed first!
Try using a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi. Trust me, it can make a big difference.
Close any background apps that might be hogging your bandwidth or CPU. Fortnite deserves your full attention!
Sometimes the Fortnite servers just have a bad day. You can't do much about it except wait it out.
