They're sold out because they're super popular, especially when a new rare model drops. It's like the Black Friday rush, but for cool little cars. Retailers can't keep up with the demand because everyone from 7 to 70 wants a piece of that Hot Wheels action.

Marketing hype and scalpers. Every time there's a limited edition or something that's rumored to be the next big thing, scalpers swoop in, buy them all, and then sell them for ridiculous prices online. It's a vicious cycle that leaves shelves empty and true fans frustrated.

Hot Wheels are often sold out because they're not just toys, they're collectibles! Adults and kids alike hunt them down for the thrill of the chase, to complete their collections, or to find that one rare gem that makes their heart race. Plus, with their limited runs and special editions, once they're gone, they're really gone, making each find feel like striking gold.

If love Hot Wheels, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Several of those prizes are trending Hot Wheels, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
