Oh boy, where to start? The simple answer is demand has gone through the roof! With the pandemic, everyone was looking for hobbies and Pokemon TCG got a huge boost. Plus, influencers and collectors started showing off rare finds online, making more people jump into the craze. Stores just can't keep them on the shelves fast enough. Some places even had to limit purchases or stop selling them in-store to prevent chaos.

Lol, because everyone and their grandma decided collecting Pokemon cards is the new gold rush. Good luck finding them without camping outside a store at dawn.

It's basically supply and demand. The demand for Pokemon cards has exploded, and the supply chain can't keep up. Add to that scalpers using bots to snatch up online stocks, and you get a pretty frustrating situation for the average buyer.

High demand, plain and simple. More people want them than there are cards available. Patience is key, and sometimes you get lucky.

Don’t blame the stores; blame the scalpers buying everything up faster than you can say “Pikachu, I choose you!” It’s a mess.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
