Why can't Fallout Shelter be cross-platform shared?
RavellingMane路7 months agoSimply put, Fallout Shelter can't be cross-platform because it would be a coding nightmare. Imagine trying to get all those different platforms to play nice with each other. Even thinking about it gives me a headache!

Cross-platform sharing isn't available in Fallout Shelter because each platform (iOS, Android, PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch) has its own ecosystem and framework, making it challenging to sync player data seamlessly across different devices. Plus, there's the business side of things where each platform wants to keep users within its ecosystem. So, it's more about technical and business hurdles than anything else.
As someone who's sunk hours into Fallout Shelter on both my phone and my PC, the lack of cross-platform support is a bummer. It all comes down to the platforms being as cooperative as cats and dogs. Each has its own quirks and demands that just don't mesh well together.
Cross-platform? In Fallout Shelter? Nah, not happening. Each platform is like its own Vault, completely independent of the others.
