The manga ended because Isayama had always planned a definitive end to Eren's journey. All good things must come to an end, right?

Hajime Isayama, the creator, brought the story to a natural conclusion. Every epic tale needs an ending, and AoT had one heck of a ride!
If you ask me, it ended so we wouldn't have to endure more heart-wrenching plot twists. My nerves can only take so much!
Ending the manga allowed the story to retain its depth and complexity without dragging on unnecessarily. Better to go out with a bang!
Because Isayama got tired of drawing Titans. Just kidding! He had a clear ending in mind from the start, and he stuck to his vision.
