Epic Games tried to sidestep Apple's 30% commission fee by adding a direct payment option in Fortnite, which violated Apple's App Store policies. Apple didn't take too kindly to that and booted Fortnite off the App Store.

Fortnite got the boot because Epic Games added their own payment system in the app, bypassing Apple's commission. Apple said 'nope' and kicked them out.

Epic Games bypassed Apple's payment system, which didn't sit well with Apple. Out the door Fortnite went.

Because Epic Games thought they could outsmart Apple by adding a direct payment system in Fortnite. Spoiler: Apple disagreed and removed the game.

If you're a Fortnite player looking for extra v-bucks, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Fortnite gift card, which you can win and use to get v-bucks essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
