The artwork in Naruto Shippuden changed to better reflect the characters' growth and the series' evolving themes. Plus, new technology and higher budgets allowed for more detailed and dynamic animations!
As someone who's watched the series multiple times, I can say the artwork change really enhanced the experience! The battles became even more epic with the improved visuals.
It's just kinda what happens with long-running series. New styles, higher quality, and better tech lead to updated visuals.
