Try lowering your in-game graphics settings. Sometimes Fortnite's beautiful scenery isn't worth the frame drops.
Could be your hardware struggling to keep up with the game's demands. Make sure your graphics card drivers are updated!
Close background applications. A lot of running apps can hog resources and impact your gaming performance.
I switched from Wi-Fi to a wired connection and it fixed most of my frame drop issues. Worth a shot!
