Why Do People Not Want Goku in Super Smash Bros?

Goku’s awesome and all, but Super Smash Bros mainly features video game characters, and Goku's originally from an anime/manga. Stickin' to the roots, y'know?
Personal experience here: I'd love Goku in Smash, but he'd overshadow Nintendo characters. It's like bringing a bazooka to a pillow fight!
Because it’s Super Smash ‘VIDEO GAME’ Bros. Goku’s anime origins don’t fit the bill. Simple as that.
Adding Goku would open the floodgates for all non-video game characters. Next thing you know, you'll be fighting Batman and Spongebob.
