Steam downloads might take a bit to finish 'cause of a few reasons. First off, check your internet speed; it's usually the main culprit. Then, there's the Steam server. During peak hours or big game releases, servers can get real busy, slowing things down. Also, don't forget to peek at your download settings in Steam. You might be limiting the bandwidth without realizing it, or maybe you're connected to a far-off server. A quick settings tweak could speed things right up!

Honestly, it's probably your WiFi. Steam itself is usually pretty quick unless their servers are overloaded from everyone trying to download the new hottest game at the same time.

I鈥檝e got super fast internet but sometimes Steam still takes forever. Found out it was because I was connected to a server on the other side of the planet. Switched to a closer server in the settings and now it's like I'm downloading directly from the future. Fast!

Could be your hard drive, especially if it's older. Upgrading to an SSD made a huge difference for me, not just for Steam but for everything on my PC.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
