Why Do V-Bucks Not Transfer?

Epic Games keeps V-Bucks locked to the platform they're bought on to comply with the rules set by different platform providers.
V-Bucks transfer limitations exist due to platform-specific currencies and purchase agreements. They can't make everyone happy!
Basically, it's a mix of legal and technical stuff between Epic Games and the platform providers. TL;DR: It's complicated!
It's because of the licensing agreements and marketplace rules with Sony, Microsoft, and others. Each wants their piece of the V-Buck pie!
