Why Do You Need 1000 Robux to Change Your Username?
I think it's kind of like a paywall to ensure people are really serious about changing it. Plus, Roblox has to manage the database changes!

Changing a username on Roblox costs 1000 robux because it helps prevent abuse and spam. If it were free, people might change usernames constantly, making it hard to track users.
Honestly, it stops people from trolling by changing their usernames all the time. It keeps things a bit more stable.
