Honestly, it's worth the space. No other game gives you an entire city to play in with that level of detail and freedom. So yeah, it's big, but for a good reason.
It's all about the graphics and details. Higher resolution textures, more complex models, and expansive environments all eat up disk space. More detail = more GBs.
