The original Hunter x Hunter anime from 1999 ends at episode 62 because it closely followed the manga, which hadn't progressed further at the time. No worries though, the 2011 reboot continues the adventure!

I remember being so bummed when the 1999 series ended at episode 62! Luckily, the 2011 version continues the story and is just as epic!

Simple: The 1999 series ended at 62 episodes because they ran out of manga material to adapt. For more Gon action, switch to the 2011 edition!

Just jump to the 2011 reboot, dude. Way more episodes and it covers a lot more story.
