It usually says 'challenge failed' when there are connectivity issues with the servers. Make sure your internet is stable!

Could be a bug in the game. Restarting MLB The Show has worked for me several times. Worth a shot!

Sometimes, 'challenge failed' pops up because the servers are just overloaded. Try again in a bit and it might work.
