Your controller might be on, but if it's not synced to the console, it's basically a fancy paperweight! Try re-pairing it by pressing the sync button on both the console and the controller.

Wireless interference can also be a sneaky culprit. Move closer to your console or remove any obstacles between your controller and the Xbox.

Maybe your controller firmware needs an update. Yep, even controllers need updates! Plug it into the console with a USB cable and check for updates in the settings.

My controller did this, too! I fixed it by doing a hard reset on my Xbox: hold the power button for 10 seconds, then turn it back on.

Could be a battery issue. Sometimes, even if the controller turns on, low batteries can cause connection problems. Swap them out or try a recharge.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
