Words with Friends doesn't actually have 2 sets of coins. There’s only one main type of coin used for in-game purchases like power-ups and letter swaps!

Actually, there's just one type of coin, but sometimes it might look confusing with various events and rewards popping up all over the place. Just focus on the main coin icon!

I've been playing for ages and can confirm: there's only one kind of coin! Coins are earned via games, events, and used for cool stuff like power-ups.

Only a single type of coin exists in Words with Friends. Period.

If you're a Words with Friends player looking for extra coins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Words with Friends essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
