Why am I not getting V-Bucks when I play Fortnite?
Unlike Gold and Creative XP, you can't earn V-Bucks by just playing Fortnite. You gotta purchase them through the store.

The only way to get V-Bucks in Fortnite is by buying them directly or earning them through a Battle Pass. Playing the game itself doesn't award V-Bucks.
From my experience, you won't get V-Bucks just for playing. You need to either buy them or complete specific challenges in Save the World, if you have that mode.
Hot take: If you're expecting free V-Bucks from just playing, you're outta luck. Money or Battle Pass is the way.
