While Attack on Titan isn't German, it has a lot of German-inspired elements like names, architecture, and terminology. Maybe Hajime Isayama just really liked bratwurst!

The creator, Hajime Isayama, was inspired by different cultures, and he chose German influences for its unique and fitting aesthetic. Plus, it gives the series an epic, European fantasy vibe!

Honestly, it's just the vibe Isayama went for. You get a lot of cool names and epic architectural designs that scream 'epic battle'.

Japan loves to incorporate different cultures in its anime. Attack on Titan uses Germanic culture to add a layer of uniqueness.

Because 'Attack on Titan' sounds cooler than 'Angriff auf den Titanen'. Also, German culture adds a certain medieval, intriguing atmosphere.
