It's rated R because of the intense fight scenes and blood. Trust me, those demons don't hold back!
They went all out on the action and gore, so the rating reflects that. Keeps it true to the manga's intensity.
The R rating is justified considering the level of violence and graphic content. Not exactly kiddie material.
Basically, it's the violence, blood, and some dark themes. Just a heads-up for younger viewers!
