Why is Heihachi Not in Tekken 8?
Heihachi took a bit too many Mishima-style haircuts to the head and finally called it quits! Or did Kazuya just have enough of his dad?

Honestly, it's probably about time the old man retired. Let the new generation duke it out for once!
Heihachi isn't in Tekken 8 because the story needed a bit of a shake-up. Can't keep recycling the same characters forever!
Heihachi's absence might be because of story progression from Tekken 7. No spoilers, but let's just say it was pretty final.
Heihachi's been a staple, but sometimes it's good to give the newer characters a spotlight. Out with the old, in with the new!
