From what I've heard, the new animation studio wanted to tone things down to appeal to a wider audience. I guess more viewers means more money?
Ugh, I know it sucks! The censorship is mainly due to stricter broadcasting guidelines. But don't worry, the DVDs and certain streaming services usually have the uncensored versions.
