It's the atmosphere for me. Lethal Company nails the creepy, abandoned moon base vibe. The game keeps you on edge with its resource scarcity and the constant threat of getting jumped by monsters. Not knowing what's around the next corner but having to push forward anyway is thrilling!
I think it's overhyped. It's just another survival game but with space aesthetics.
