Mortal Kombat is called that because it's all about 'mortal' fighters battling each other to the death, using their 'combat' skills. Plus, it sounds super cool and edgy, right?

The name 'Mortal Kombat' was chosen to evoke the idea of life-or-death battles. They even swapped the 'C' for a 'K' to make it unique and eye-catching.

Fun fact: They originally wanted to name it 'Fatality Fighters,' but 'Mortal Kombat' just had that killer ring to it. Also, that 'K' in Kombat? Totally makes it pop.

They probably just thought it sounded badass. Seriously though, 'Mortal Kombat' captures the essence of life-and-death fights perfectly.

If you're a Mortal Kombat player looking for extra coins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Mortal Kombat essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
