It could be that your photo didn't meet Facebook's recommended dimensions, or it compressed the image during upload. Try uploading a higher-resolution version!

Once, I uploaded a photo and it looked awful, but when I resized it to Facebook's ideal dimensions—720, 960, or 2048 pixels wide—it was crystal clear!
