First, check if your mic is properly connected and not muted. If that doesn't help, go to Fortnite's settings and ensure voice chat is enabled.
If you're on a PC or console, make sure your controller or headset firmware is up to date. A simple update might do the trick!
Check your in-game audio settings and ensure that your voice chat input and output devices are correctly selected. I had this issue once, and it turned out I was using the wrong device!
