Why is my Steam download speed so slow?
AssemblingDelta路7 months agoYour Steam download might be taking a scenic route because your internet connection decided to take a nap. But seriously, check if it's not your overall internet speed dragging its feet. Sometimes, the issue is larger than Steam and a quick modem/router reset can get you back in the race. Also, peak hours are a thing; when everyone is downloading, speeds can dip. Try scheduling your downloads for when the world's asleep, or at least not all hammering the same server.

Steam's got a lot of knobs and dials in the settings. You might've accidentally set a download limit without realizing it. Dive into the settings and make sure there's no cap on your download speed. Happened to me once, fixed it in a jiffy!
Steam servers are like ice cream trucks - everyone rushes to them, especially during sales or big releases. If you're stuck, try changing your download region in Steam settings to a less crowded one. Worked for me when I was trying to download Cyberpunk on day one!
Just use ethernet, lol. WiFi is for memes, not for downloads.
