First things first, make sure your drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can cause all sorts of issues!
Try verifying the integrity of the game files on Steam. Sometimes a corrupted file can ruin the fun.
Check if there's any recent update pending for the game. If so, download it and see if it fixes the issue.
