Have you checked if Xbox Live is undergoing maintenance? Happens occasionally, and nothing you can do but wait.
Make sure your Xbox 360 is properly set up with your Wi-Fi network, including the correct password. Been there, done that!
Could be an issue with your ISP. I've had times where my internet was fine, but something on their end was blocking the connection to Xbox Live.
Double-check your internet connection! Sometimes a simple router reset does wonders. Also, make sure your Xbox 360 is updated to the latest system version.
