Maybe an auto-update is triggering it. Xbox consoles sometimes wake up to download updates or sync data. Turn off automatic updates in the settings to see if that helps.

My Xbox once turned on by itself because my cat stepped on the controller! Make sure no pets are inadvertently powering it on.

Check if your Xbox is set to instant-on mode, which can sometimes cause it to turn on unexpectedly. Go to settings and switch it to energy-saving mode.

Probably there's a feature enabled that's waking it up. Disable 'Wake on LAN' in the settings if you鈥檙e using a wired network.

It could be a ghost! Or, more likely, your Xbox could be receiving signals from nearby devices like a remote or wireless controller. Try moving them further away.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company. The logos and other identifying marks attached are trademarks of and owned by each represented company and/or its affiliates. Please visit each company's website for additional terms and conditions.
