It's all about the business, folks. Epic Games snagged Rocket League to beef up their store's lineup. It's just how the cookie crumbles in the gaming world.

Rocket League isn't on Steam anymore because it went free-to-play and shifted exclusively to the Epic Games Store in late 2020. Psyonix, the creators of Rocket League, were actually acquired by Epic Games, which likely influenced the move. Don't worry, though; if you had it on Steam before the switch, you can still play it there with all future updates.

Not entirely true! Rocket League can still be enjoyed on Steam if you grabbed it before the switch. Epic Games acquisition is the key reason for the migration. Still, Steam veterans have full access to the game, minus the new player influx.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
