Akiyama could be missing from MLB The Show because he wasn't on an MLB team when the game was made.

Shogo Akiyama's absence might be due to licensing issues or not being on an MLB team roster at the game's release. Game developers often need player rights to include them.

It's probably a licensing issue. If a player isn't in the MLB or if there's a contract problem, they won't make it into the game.

If you're a MLB The Show Companion App player looking for extra credit or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in MLB The Show Companion App essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
