Starfield isn't on PS5 because it's developed by Bethesda, which is owned by Microsoft. They want it to be Xbox and PC exclusive.

Starfield is not on PS5 because it's an Xbox console exclusive, developed by Bethesda Game Studios. Ever since Microsoft acquired Bethesda, they've been keeping some major titles in-house. So grab your PC or Xbox, and get ready for a cosmic adventure!

Microsoft bought Bethesda, so they get the exclusives. It's one of those "business strategy" situations!

Hot take: It's not on PS5 because Microsoft wants you to get an Xbox, plain and simple.

Having worked on similar game releases, I can say exclusivity deals like this help drive sales for the platforms they support鈥擷box in this case.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company. The logos and other identifying marks attached are trademarks of and owned by each represented company and/or its affiliates. Please visit each company's website for additional terms and conditions.
