Let's start with the obvious: try verifying the game files on Steam. Sometimes a corrupt file is all it takes to crash your TF2 dreams.

Make sure your graphics drivers are updated! An out-of-date driver can stop the game from launching.

Turn off any background apps you don鈥檛 need, especially stuff like antivirus software. They can mess with TF2 starting up.

Try running the game as an administrator. Right-click the game in Steam, go to Properties -> Local Files -> Browse -> right-click on the executable and select 'Run as administrator'.

Honestly, sometimes you just need to reinstall the game. Uninstall it, then download it again. Worked for me!

...you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

This includes gift cards from all your favorite brands, like Amazon, Starbucks, Apple, Roblox, and many, many more!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
