Honestly, the frequent bugs and balance issues frustrate a lot of players. It's hard to stay engaged when things don't work right.

I think it's because the player base is shrinking. When new games come out, players naturally migrate to the new shiny thing.

Speaking from experience, I think the lack of end-game content is a big issue. Once you reach a certain level, there's not much more to do.
