Skyrim's got an 18 rating because it’s got violence, blood, and some pretty mature themes. You don't want kids learning dragon shouts before they learn their ABCs!

Violence, blood, and mature themes - that’s why it's 18. Pretty standard stuff for an epic RPG.

The game features graphic combat, dark themes, and alcohol use, which makes it a no-go for kids.

I’ve lost track of the number of dragons I’ve decapitated and the bandits I’ve burned to a crisp. That’s why it’s rated 18!

Skyrim is rated 18 for its intense violence, mature themes, and occasional nudity. Basically, it's got all the good stuff adults love!
