Why Are There No Black Characters in Attack on Titan?
ForetellingTable路4 months agoAttack on Titan's setting is inspired by medieval Europe, which had a different ethnic composition, possibly explaining the lack of black characters. But hey, we've got Onyankopon in the later seasons, so there's some diversity there!

Simple answer: the author, Hajime Isayama, based the world on European influences, so most characters reflect that background. Still, it's a great anime!

Onyankopon from the Marleyan army is a black character who appears later in the series. So, there is some representation!
