People are mad because the game had a lot of bugs and some of the gameplay balance issues weren't addressed before they moved on to a new project.

Honestly, it's just some people being salty鈥攊t's still a great game if you ask me.
Total War: Three Kingdoms got some flak mainly because Creative Assembly decided to stop further updates and DLCs, leaving many fans feeling abandoned.
