Why isn't Diablo on Steam?
PassingDada·7 months agoHonestly, it's all about the money and control. Blizzard’s got its own store and launcher, Battle.net, so why share the pie with Steam? Plus, keeping it in-house means they can push updates and DLC on their own terms.

Diablo isn't on Steam because it's made by Blizzard Entertainment, which prefers to use its own platform, Battle.net, for distributing its games. This way, they keep full control over their games and profits, rather than sharing a cut with Steam.
Blizzard keeps its jewels in its own vault. Battle.net is home to Diablo, not Steam, because why not keep all that sweet loot in the family?
