Fallout 76 isn't on Steam because Bethesda decided to use their own launcher, Bethesda.net, for the game's release. They likely did this to have more control over their game and to avoid sharing revenue with Valve, the company behind Steam. It's all about the business strategy, but don't worry, you can still get your hands on the game directly from Bethesda!

Actually, Fallout 76 is on Steam now! Bethesda initially released it exclusively on their own platform, but they eventually brought it to Steam in April 2020. So, if you were waiting to play it on Steam, your wait is over. Enjoy Appalachia!

Bethesda wanted all the caps. Going exclusive with their launcher at first meant not splitting income with Steam. More caps for them, less hassle with third-party platforms. But guess what, the allure of Steam was too strong, and now Fallout 76 has joined the Steam roster. Better late than never!

If you're a Fallout 76 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
