It could be a firmware issue. Connect your controller to the PS5 with a USB cable and turn on the console. It might prompt you to update the controller's firmware.
Try resetting the controller by pressing the small reset button on the back near the L2 button with a paperclip or pin.
Sometimes, a hard reset of the PS5 helps. Turn off the console completely by holding the power button until it beeps twice, then unplug it for a minute.
