Gaijin Entertainment chose historically accurate camouflage patterns for the Tiger I, which usually weren't grey by mid-war.

The grey color was mostly used for early-war German vehicles; by the time the Tiger I was introduced, the shift to camouflage colors had already occurred.

I play War Thunder a lot, and the Tiger I's color changed from grey to the more camouflaged patterns to match historical accuracy. Makes it feel more authentic!

Tiger I tanks were usually painted in the 'Dunkelgelb' (dark yellow) color scheme to better blend into various environments.
