Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe was toned down because DC characters are family-friendly icons. Incorporating the brutal Fatalities from Mortal Kombat without restrictions wouldn't suit Batman or Superman's image.

They had to keep it PG-13 for the younger fan base and to respect DC's guidelines on character portrayal. No one wants to see Superman ripping heads off!

Honestly, it was all about making sure the game could appeal to a wider audience. Too much gore would've limited the game's reach.

I've read it was to get the game a Teen rating instead of Mature, so more people could play it. Makes sense, right?

If you're a Mortal Kombat player looking for extra coins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Mortal Kombat essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
