Short answer? PopCap Games pulled the plug on PvZ Adventures to move resources to other projects. Social gaming ain’t what it used to be, and they had bigger fish to fry.

From personal experience, when PvZ Adventures was axed, I was bummed! The reason? PopCap shifted their strategy away from Facebook games, focusing on the bigger PvZ sequels and other platforms. It was sad to see it go, but their other games are just as addictive!

Plants vs Zombies Adventures got shelved because it was a Facebook-exclusive game, and its developer, PopCap, decided to shift focus away from social games to concentrate on other titles and platforms. Basically, it didn't fit into their long-term strategy. Plus, social gaming trends were shifting, and it seems like they wanted to put their resources where they'd have a bigger impact.

If you're a Plants vs Zombies player looking for extra money or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Plants vs Zombies essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
